How does it work?
Being a CSA member is easy, here’s how it works:

You can join any time of year, since we are a year round CSA.
Once you have created an account here. Sign up to pay as you go or prepay for 10 boxes you automatically get a 10% discount. Once you’ve chosen your subscription you can pick weekly, or every other week(bi-weekly) frequency. Next choose from a convenient pick-up location or home delivery.

What is in a box?
We have three different size CSA boxes.

  • The Sprout (1-2 people)
  • Famers (2-3 people)
  • Grande (3 or more)

Each box has standard items depending on what is available from our farming partners for the time of year. That being said. You can customize your box to your taste. If you don’t like beets, trade them out for something you do like. So the question “What is in a box?” is really up to you. How do I pay?

10 box subscription

– If you sign up for ten boxes you are charged for all ten up front. By doing this you receive a 10% discount.

Pay per box:

– If you elect to pay per box, your credit card is automatically charged each time you are scheduled to get a box. If you would like to pay by check please make check payable to:

Where do you deliver?
There are two different options, pick-up and delivery.  You can choose from many convenient pickup locations.  (Please allow us until 3:00 PM for all pick-up locations.)  Or for a 4.95 fee you can get the box dropped off right on your doorstep.  Just check out our map, and see if you are in our delivery zone
How do I put a hold on my box?
 Hop on over to your account and you will see a grey “Hold” button. Click the button before Monday 10:00 am the week of your delivery. If you wish to put your box on hold for multiple weeks, contact us at csa@hoodriverorganic.com and we can assist you.
How to sign up with Snap benefits.
To sign up using your SNAP card you need to visit this page, and fill out the form completely.  We will then get your account set up and contact you letting you know your account login and password. 
How do I customize?

Customization emails are sent out on Friday.  Usually by 3pm sometimes a little later.

The Friday before your box’s scheduled delivery you’ll receive a notification email, letting you know it’s time to customize your box. Next log into your account and click on “box schedule and contents.” Click on the day you are to receive your box on the calendar. Then click on the up or down icon to add or remove items from your box.  You can see a full explanation here.

How do I cancel my account?
 All you need to do is email us at csa@hoodriverorganic.com with a request to cancel your subscription. You need to cancel at least 1 week prior to your next delivery, since we are a farm and typically plan one week ahead.
How do I purchase a gift certificate?
We realize that giving a CSA share makes a wonderful gift.  Here are the steps for purchase.

  • Go to our accounts page and click “Create Login Account”
  • Then once you’ve created an account go to our Storefront
  • Once on the Storefront scroll down to the “ADD-ONS” menu
  • Then select the “Gift Certificate” box
  • Select how many boxes you’d like to purchase
  • Once you check out we will contact you to find out where you want the certificate shipped
